Air Nostrum Strike

The pilots of Iberia Regional Air Nostrum, maintain the indefinite strike that will take place from 27 February. The strike will take place on Mondays and Fridays. Incidents will take place at all the airline’s bases, especially at Valencia airport. The airline has guaranteed 83 % of flights, but may affect more than 50 % of flights at several airports. Swissport Strike

The Swissport unions have announced a strike for Monday, February 27, Tuesday, February 28, and Thursday, March 1 in 17 spanish airports. The walkout will continue every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday until March 13.
In the airports at Madrid-Barajas, Barcelona-El Prat, Reus, Alicante, Valencia, Murcia, Málaga, Almera, Salamanca, Valladolid, Burgos, Logroño, Zaragoza, Huesca, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife Sur, Swissport Handling offers its services.
With the exception of the airports in Gran Canaria and Tenerife Sur, where it aids executive aviation firms, and the airports in Madrid and Malaga, where it performs air cargo handling services, it offers passenger and ramp handling services at all of these facilities.
Its clients include Aegean Airlines, Aer Lingus, Air France, Brussels Airlines, Czech Airlines, Emirates, Finnair, Iberia Express, Icelandair, Iran Air, KLM, Lufthansa, Swiss, Turkish Airlines and Vueling.
Depending on the minimum services established by the Ministry of Public Works, there could be some flight delays and slower operations. Follow developments, confirm flight reservations and contact your airline for more information on whether your flight will be affected.

Palma de Mallorca. Red Alert for snow

The National Meteorological Institute has issued an Extreme Risk level located in the area of the Sierra Tramontana, which can accumulate lower accumulations at lower elevations, even reaching sea level. Flight delays and cancellations may occur. Reconfirm your flights on the airport websites.

Incidents on some railway lines to Galicia

Due to works at Monforte de Lemos station, some medium and long-distance services are being affected and have to complete part of the journey by train. Some of the routes affected include the Alvia Vigo – Barcelona, A Coruña – Barcelona in both directions. Increased journey times are expected.
