Chipre (Europa) Aviso para desplazamientos en la zona ocupada
El Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores español ha incluido varias recomendaciones de seguridad. De acuerdo con la legislación vigente, la entrada a la isla se debe producir por la zona contralada por la República de Chipre. En consecuencia, la entrada a la Isla por el aeropuerto de Ercan/Tymbou no está permitida por las autoridades de la República de Chipre. Por tanto, si se llega a la Isla por el mencionado aeropuerto y se pretende cruzar a la parte Sur, se corre el riesgo de ser rechazado en el puesto de control y ser sancionado económicamente.
Conviene recordar que, por la excepcional situación de ocupación, la isla está fuertemente vigilada y militarizada. La situación es especialmente delicada en la Zona Ocupada donde se encuentran más de 30.000 soldados turcos. Por esta razón, es necesario tener precaución y respetar las indicaciones y señales, especialmente en lo referente a instalaciones de tipo militar y sus cercanías, que está prohibido fotografiar y en las que no se puede entrar. Se debe tener en cuenta que dichas zonas, en ocasiones, no se encuentran debidamente señalizadas, por lo que se debe extremar la precaución.

The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has included a number of security recommendations. For this reason, it is necessary to exercise caution and respect the indications and signs, especially with regard to military-type installations and their vicinity, which are forbidden to be photographed and which cannot be entered. It should be noted that such areas are sometimes not properly signposted, so extreme caution should be exercised.
