Italy (Europe) On 17 March there will be a general strike in the aviation sector.
A strike has been called throughout Italy in the aviation sector on Friday 17th March.
The 24-hour strike will be carried out by all employees of airport handling services companies, security staff of the Sea Aeroporto di Milano Linate company and workers and, in general, all workers of the Cub organisation.
Cub trade union representation is mainly established at Rome Fiumicino international airport; Milan, Malpensa hub and Linate airport; Venice; Catania; Pisa, civil airport, with Florence-Peretola at ‘Aeroporti Toscana’; Verona.
Another 4-hour protest will involve Pisa airport staff from 10am to 2pm, all staff belonging to Ugl-Ta from 11am to 3pm, Air Dolomiti staff from 1pm to 5pm, Atitech staff from Rome Fiumicino from 1pm to 5pm and Gh Catania company staff from 10am to 2pm.
Individuals flying via airports in Italy are advised to keep abreast of the situation, confirm the status of their flights prior to departure for the airport, and anticipate flight and airport service disruptions during any work stoppage.
