Un incendio forestal ha arrasado la ciudad costera oriental de Gangneung, el martes, destruyendo más de 100 estructuras, incluidas alrededor de 40 casas, y desplazando a más de 1.000 personas. Los bomberos y los trabajadores de emergencia han extinguido las llamas por la noche, unas ocho horas después de que comenzara el incendio.
El fuego ha quemado alrededor de 379 hectáreas de zonas montañosas, que es del tamaño de casi 530 campos de fútbol, mientras que 40 casas, 28 pensiones de resorts y tres hoteles han sido dañados, lo que ha obligado a más de 550 residentes y más de 700 inquilinos a evacuar.

A wildfire has swept through the eastern coastal city of Gangneung on Tuesday, destroying more than 100 structures, including about 40 houses, and displacing more than 1,000 people. Firefighters and emergency workers have extinguished the flames by evening, about eight hours after the fire started.
The fire has burned about 379 hectares of hilly area, which is the size of nearly 530 football fields, while 40 houses, 28 resort guesthouses and three hotels have been damaged, forcing more than 550 residents and more than 700 tenants to evacuate.
