España. Renfe ofrecerá servicio alternativo por carretera entre Santander y Madrid debido a obras durante el mes de agosto.

A partir del 1 de agosto, Adif iniciará importantes obras de la nueva conexión ferroviaria con Cantabria, lo que ocasionará un corte en el servicio durante todo el mes. Estas obras, que se prolongarán hasta el 31 de agosto, afectarán a los servicios en las ciudades de Santander, Palencia, Torrelavega, Reinosa y Aguilar de Campoo.

Para mitigar el impacto en los viajeros, Renfe ha anunciado la implementación de un servicio alternativo de transporte por carretera entre Palencia y Santander (unos 200 kilómetros) para las rutas que conectan Santander con Madrid y Santander con Alicante. Este transbordo por carretera estará vigente del 1 al 31 de agosto, periodo durante el cual se ajustarán los horarios de salida y llegada entre 5 y 11 minutos.

Renfe ha decidido establecer una tarifa fija en la ruta Santander–Madrid durante todo el mes de agosto, con el fin de minimizar las molestias a los viajeros afectados por estas alteraciones.

– Se aconseja a los viajeros que consulten los horarios y posibles ajustes con antelación a sus viajes.
– Aquellos que necesiten viajar entre Palencia y Santander deberán estar preparados para el traslado por carretera.
– Se recomienda seguir las actualizaciones a través de los canales oficiales de Renfe para cualquier cambio en el servicio.

Spain. Renfe will offer an alternative road service between Santander and Madrid due to road works during the month of August.

As of August 1st, Adif will start major works on the new railway connection with Cantabria, which will cause a cut in the service during the whole month. These works, which will last until August 31st, will affect services in the cities of Santander, Palencia, Torrelavega, Reinosa and Aguilar de Campoo.

To mitigate the impact on passengers, Renfe has announced the implementation of an alternative road transport service between Palencia and Santander (some 200 kilometres) for routes connecting Santander with Madrid and Santander with Alicante. This road transfer will be in force from 1 to 31 August, a period during which departure and arrival times will be adjusted by 5 to 11 minutes.

Renfe has decided to establish a fixed fare on the Santander-Madrid route throughout the month of August, in order to minimise inconvenience to passengers affected by these alterations.

– Those who need to travel between Palencia and Santander should be prepared to travel by road.
