CHILE. Iquique Airport closed as protesters block access roads.

A stoppage of activities caused the closure of the airport in the city of Iquique on Monday, amid the blockade of roads and calls to demonstrations. The traffic cuts affected the services of the airport, located on the outskirts of the city, more than 1,400 kilometers north of Santiago, from the first hours of the day.

Due to the stoppage of activities that occurs in Iquique, both departure and arrival operations at the Diego Aracena airport have been temporarily suspended. This suspension will continue until the blockade of access to airline and terminal personnel is lifted.
