Air traffic controllers’ strike in Milan on 8 June
ENAV (Italian air navigation service provider) informs that on June 8, the trade unions UGL-TA and UNICA have called a 24-hour local strike at Milan Area Control Centre. ENAV will ensure that the essential services are provided in compliance with the current regulation.
- Due to a staff strike call in Italy for June 8th, Volotea flights activity will be affected. Normal daily operation under these circumstances can be affected and some flights may experience delays. More information here
In any case, please arrive at the airport for your scheduled departure time well in advance as check-in and luggage drop times will not be extended and access points may be affected by longer lines than usual.
- Authorities in Italy have lifted all remaining COVID-19-related international travel restrictions as of June 3. Individuals traveling to Italy are no longer required to complete passenger locator forms or provide proof of vaccination, proof of recovery, or a recent COVID-19 test result to enter the country.
However, a Super Green Pass is still required to enter hospitals and nursing homes. Additionally, wearing an FFP2 facemask is required until at least June 15 on public transport and in certain public indoor settings, including cinemas, concert halls, indoor sporting events, and healthcare facilities, among others.
