Union calls for strike at Hamburg airport
German trade union Verdi has called members of RMH (technical maintenance staff) to go on 24-hour strike at Hamburg Airport on Friday, 1 July.
Real Estate Maintenance (RMH) is responsible for maintaining the technology in baggage handling, the runways and all other technical infrastructure.
Verdi said that some 200 employees responsible for infrastructure maintenance at Germany’s fifth busiest airport would walk off the job for 24 hours.
Flight disruptions cannot be ruled out.
Passengers are advised to check the status of their flight before travel.
