France: Ryanair staff announce new strike this weekend. Ryanair strikes in Spain
Ryanair pilots have announced the new strike will take place at Paris Beauvais Airport, in France, on July 23 and July 24. Ryanair flights to or from Paris Beauvais Airport are expected to be cancelled this weekend.
However, Marseille, Bordeaux, and Toulouse airports could also be affected.
Further cancellations and delays are expected in Spain as industrial action over ongoing disputes is set to take place every day until July 28, except for weekend days.
Catalan airports saw 33 delays as of 7 pm on Wednesday; 15 of which were departures from Barcelona, and 18 arrivals into the city.
The strike is set to last until July 28 and has been called for ten airports in Spain where the low-cost carrier operates, including Barcelona and Girona.
Meanwhile, travelers flying with EasyJet have also experienced abrupt trip changes. Here’s what to expect in the following days:
Ryanair: 25, 26, 27 and 28, disruptions at the ten Spanish bases (Madrid, Barcelona, Girona, Malaga, Seville, Valencia, Alicante, Santiago de Compostela, Palma and Ibiza).
EasyJet: July 29, 30 and 31, at the three Spanish bases (Malaga, Barcelona and Palma).
It is possible to use Ryanair’s travel updates to check on the status of your upcoming flight, but you’re unlikely to get accurate information if done lots of days in advance.
Travelers are advised to confirm the status of their flights prior to departure for the airport and to contact the airline for more information.
