Doncaster Sheffield Airport will permanently close this month as the final flight is confirmed. Doncaster Airport in the UK is due to close as a result of a fundamental lack of financial viability, meaning that the ten flight connnections between the Yorkshire airport and Spain will be lost. Currently, this airport, formerly known as Robin Wood Airport, has connections with Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Alicante, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Reus, Girona and Malaga in spain whith the airline TUI.

It is not yet known whether, after the airport closes, these flight connections with Spain will be lost altogether or will be transferred to other nearby airports like Leeds Bradford International Airport and Humberside Airport. The final flight is due to leave on Saturday 5 November 2022.
