Update. Air traffic incident Spanish airspace
ENAIRE, the national air navigation manager in Spain, lifted the restrictions shortly before 11:00 a.m. when the risk disappeared.
The airspace of Aragon, Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, La Rioja, Navarre and Castile and Leon was affected this Friday morning by the re-entry into the atmosphere of the Chinese CZ-5B, which caused some airports to temporarily interrupt their operations, as was the case of Barcelona-El Prat Airport, Reus and Ibiza.
As a safety measure, all air traffic within the exclusion zone delimited by Eurocontrol has been diverted.
The alert has been set for the period between 9.19 a.m. and 1.17 p.m. Spanish time.
Significant flight disruptions are likely, and some disruptions will likely persist throughout the day.
