French air traffic controllers strike

The air traffic controllers’ strike will continue until 06:00 UTC on 8 February and will lead to the cancellation of at least 20% of the flights scheduled at Paris Orly airport and many of the rail connections on that day. The impact will be significant. Incidents can be expected at French airports, including closures at some regional airports (Figari, Perpignan, Brive, Rouen, Bordeaux). There may also be an impact on other European airports with flights from and to the area flying over French airspace.

For the rest of transport, traffic is expected to be severely affected today 7 February on all lines: TRANSILIEN, TER, TGV (INOUI, OUIGO, international), INTERCITES.

All passengers wanting to fly that day between Spain and any other location on the European continent will be given the best amenities possible. This is due to the fact that almost all flights connecting the Iberian Peninsula with the rest of the ancient continent traverse French airspace.

Customers with uncancelled tickets have three options if they decide not to go: seek a voucher (if the flight is cancelled, they will receive a refund); modify the date up until 28 February as a deadline; or change the origin or destination with a maximum distance of 250 kilometers.
