Italy. Transport strike in Milan and Rome

As part of a statewide 24-hour strike organized by the USB trade union, local public transportation services in Italy may be disrupted for commuters on Friday, February 17.
The strike will impact the Roma-Lido, Termini-Centocelle, and Roma-Nord light-rail lines operated by ATAC as well as buses run by Roma TPL and Cotral in the greater Rome area.

From 08.30 until 17.00 and from 20.00 till the conclusion of service, Rome’s public transportation will be at risk. Nonetheless, services in the capital will be available until 08.30 and from 17.00 to 20.00 during the peak rush hours in the morning and evening, respectively. The strike is expected to cause delays in Milan’s ATM public transportation from 08.45 to 15.00 and after 18.00.
Trenord rail service disruptions are also anticipated in the northern Lombardia region near Milan, however services are still assured from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 18 p.m. to 2 a.m. If trains are canceled, direct buses will transport passengers to and from the Malpensa Express airport.

ANM services are available in Naples from 05:30 to 08:30 and from 17:00 to 20:00. The city of Turin’s public transportation services are available every day from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and from 12 a.m. to 15 pm.
