Uganda  Aviso de seguridad colectivos LGTBI+
La oficina de Asuntos Consulares de Estados Unidos ha emitido un aviso de seguridad, donde se hace un llamado a reconsiderar su viaje a Uganda debido a la alta incidencia de delitos, terrorismo y legislación anti-LGBTQI+. Se recomienda leer detenidamente el aviso de viaje completo, ya que algunas áreas presentan un mayor riesgo.

Es importante tener presente que la amenaza de ataques terroristas en Uganda y en la región continúa existiendo. En diciembre de 2022 se reportaron ataques terroristas en varias aldeas del oeste de Uganda, y en 2021 hubo múltiples bombardeos en Kampala y sus alrededores. Si bien los ataques no parecían estar dirigidos a ciudadanos extranjeros, cualquier persona podría ser víctima. Por esta razón, se recomienda a los ciudadanos permanecer alertas y evitar grandes concentraciones públicas.

The U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs has issued a security advisory, calling on you to reconsider your travel to Uganda due to the high incidence of crime, terrorism and anti-LGBTQI+ legislation. It is recommended that you read the full travel advisory carefully, as some areas present a higher risk.

It is important to be aware that the threat of terrorist attacks in Uganda and the region continues to exist. In December 2022, terrorist attacks were reported in several villages in western Uganda, and in 2021 there were multiple bombings in and around Kampala. While the attacks did not appear to target foreign nationals, anyone could be a victim. For this reason, citizens are advised to remain vigilant and avoid large public gatherings.
