Corea del Sur se encuentra bajo el impacto de intensas nevadas que han provocado cancelaciones en rutas marítimas, retrasos en el tráfico ferroviario y ralentizaciones en las carreteras, además de afectar algunas conexiones aéreas. El temporal, que se extiende por gran parte del país, ha dejado importantes acumulaciones de nieve, especialmente en regiones del centro y sur.
En la isla turística de Jeju, las zonas montañosas han registrado hasta 120 centímetros de nieve, mientras que ciudades como Chungju, Wonju y Daejeon han acumulado más de 10 centímetros. La capital, Seúl, junto con Incheon y la provincia de Gyeonggi, también están experimentando precipitaciones significativas, con pronósticos de entre tres y ocho centímetros adicionales de nieve en las próximas horas.
El Aeropuerto Internacional de Jeju (CJU) ha reportado la cancelación de varios vuelos nacionales debido a las condiciones meteorológicas, lo que afecta las conexiones hacia y desde Seúl (ICN) e Incheon (ICN). The storm, which is spreading across much of the country, has left significant snow accumulations, especially in the central and southern regions.
