Pakistán. La EASA aconseja evitar vuelos en el espacio aéreo de la zona.
La Agencia de Seguridad Aérea de la Unión Europea (EASA) ha emitido una advertencia sobre los riesgos que enfrenta la aviación civil en Pakistán, particularmente en el espacio aéreo de Karachi y Lahore. La alerta se extiende a las provincias de Baluchistán y Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, donde la presencia de grupos violentos y la disponibilidad confirmada de armamento antiaéreo suponen una amenaza significativa para los vuelos a altitudes inferiores a 26.000 pies.
Los aeropuertos internacionales de Pakistán, como el Aeropuerto Internacional Jinnah de Karachi (KHI), el Aeropuerto Internacional de Lahore (LHE) y el Aeropuerto Internacional de Islamabad (ISB), podrían experimentar modificaciones en los planes de vuelo, desvíos y posibles cancelaciones de rutas afectadas por estas restricciones. Esta situación también impacta en las conexiones internacionales con otros aeropuertos asiáticos y europeos, afectando especialmente las rutas entre Pakistán y destinos en Oriente Medio y Europa.
Ante esta situación, se recomienda a los viajeros que tengan previsto volar desde o hacia Pakistán que verifiquen con sus aerolíneas cualquier posible modificación en los itinerarios. Asimismo, se aconseja evitar vuelos en el espacio aéreo afectado por debajo de 26.000 pies.
Las aerolíneas que operan en la región deben mantenerse atentas a la evolución de la seguridad aérea y seguir las publicaciones oficiales emitidas por las autoridades paquistaníes y organismos internacionales.
Esta advertencia estará vigente hasta el 30 de abril de 2025, aunque podría ser modificada en función de la evolución de la situación en la región.

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued a warning about the risks facing civil aviation in Pakistan, particularly in the airspace of Karachi and Lahore. The alert extends to the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the presence of violent groups and the confirmed availability of anti-aircraft weaponry pose a significant threat to flights at altitudes below 26,000 feet.
Pakistan’s international airports, such as Jinnah International Airport in Karachi (KHI), Lahore International Airport (LHE) and Islamabad International Airport (ISB), could experience flight plan amendments, diversions and possible cancellations of routes affected by these restrictions. This situation also impacts on international connections with other Asian and European airports, especially affecting routes between Pakistan and destinations in the Middle East and Europe.
In view of this situation, travellers planning to fly to or from Pakistan are advised to check with their airlines for any possible changes to their itineraries. It is also advisable to avoid flying in the affected airspace below 26,000 feet.
Airlines operating in the region should keep abreast of developments in air safety and follow official publications issued by the Pakistani authorities and international organisations.
This warning will be in force until 30 April 2025, although it could be modified depending on how the situation in the region develops.
