Some train services canceled in Manchester. Air traffic controllers’ strike in Italy and Hungary.

 

Advice. U.K. Some train services canceled in Manchester following large blaze in Oldham Road, Miles Platting.
Northern Rail has warned of disruption on all train routes coming in and out of Manchester due to the fire. Rail services between Hebden Bridge and Manchester Victoria have now been stopped. The line reopened early this morning but delays are expected as trains are not in their correct locations. First Manchester bus services are also being diverted as Oldham Road remains closed. Many of their trains are displaced as a result of the line closure and may not be in the correct place to operate services in the morning. Residents have been asked to avoid the area, and to keep doors and windows closed.

ITALY. A national air traffic controllers’ strike in Italy is planned on 26 July 2021 from 0200 a.m to 0200 p.m. 
The Italian union USB has called a national four-hour transport strike on Friday, 23 July. The strike will affect local public transport in several cities. The modality of the strike will vary depending on the location. It is recommended to confirm all public transport reservations July 23

HUNGARY. A national ATC industrial action in Hungary will take place from 24 July 2021 to 30 July 2021. The strike had originally been planned to run from 22 July to 28 July. This action will occur daily on the above dates between 4 a.m.-9 a.m.

Consider alternative transport options to mitigate travel disruptions, and allow extra time to reach destinations. Travelers are advised to confirm the status of their flights prior to departure for the airport.
