Según el gobierno de EE.UU., podría estar planeado un ataque terrorista contra las oficinas del gobierno de Malí, el aeropuerto y/o zonas frecuentadas por occidentales, como embajadas, hoteles y restaurantes, en Bamako. Seguimos desaconsejando visitar Malí. La situación política y de seguridad puede deteriorarse rápidamente. Malí ha sido sancionado por la Comunidad Económica de Estados de África Occidental (CEDEAO), lo que incluye prohibiciones en las fronteras terrestres y aéreas entre los países de la CEDEAO y Malí. A terrorist attack targeting Malian government offices, the airport, and/or areas frequented by Westerners like as embassies, hotels, and restaurants may be planned in Bamako, according to the US government. We continue to advise against visiting Mali. The political and security situation may rapidly deteriorate. Mali has been sanctioned by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), which includes land and air border bans between ECOWAS countries and Mali. Until further notice, there are no flight choices between Mali and those destinations. There are still flight choices to and from non-ECOWAS nations.
