Italy. Cabin crew strike by several airlines on 1 October.
Ryanair, Vueling, Easyjet and Volotea will strike across Italy on 1 October. They have organised stoppages ranging from four hours at Vueling to 24 hours in the case of Ryanair, Easyjet and Volotea.
The Italian authorities estimate that these four companies will ground more than 100,000 passengers, many of them Spanish or bound for Spain.
- Vueling. Strike for four hours, from 13:00 to 17:00, which will affect several flights and hundreds of passengers bound for Spain. A dozen connecting flights from the Italian capital to Spanish cities such as Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, Seville, A Coruña, Asturias and Ibiza, via Barcelona, will also be affected.
- Ryanair will be more affected with 24-hour stoppages with direct flights scheduled to Madrid from Milan, Palermo, Cagliari and Bari. Volotea will also be significantly affected, as it connects 23 Italian cities with each other and with other European countries. As will easyJet, whose crew will join Saturday’s strikes.
