UK train drivers to stage fresh 24-hour strike on 26 November
Strike action by the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF) in UK is set to cause significant disruption to rail services on Saturday 26 November.
Train company TransPennine Express (TPE) will only be able to run a small number of services across some routes on this date.
The rail operator plans to run the following, limited service on the following routes on 26 November:
Sheffield – Cleethorpes
Manchester Piccadilly – York
Liverpool Lime Street – Manchester Victoria.
Bikes will not be permitted onboard TPE services on 26 and 27 November 2022.
Confirm rail services and allow extra time for journeys Nov. 26. Consider alternative transport and book reservations in advance due to increased demand.
Anyone planning on travelling on either 26 or 27 November should check their journey very carefully as there may be further disruption to services.
