Los viajeros que entren en el Reino Unido el 1 de febrero podrían enfrentarse a largas colas debido a la huelga de los trabajadores de la Fuerza de Fronteras.
La huelga comenzará el 1 de febrero y durará hasta las 7 de la mañana del 2 de febrero.
También se aconseja a quienes puedan utilizar las eGates que lo hagan. (Las puertas de pasaportes electrónicos son barreras de autoservicio automatizadas operadas por la Fuerza Fronteriza del Reino Unido y ubicadas en los puntos de control de inmigración en las salas de llegada de algunos aeropuertos del Reino Unido).
Si va a viajar al Reino Unido a través de cualquier punto de entrada, debe prepararse para las interrupciones y comprobar antes de viajar.
La huelga del 1 de febrero incluirá también a los puertos. Las llegadas internacionales a todos los aeropuertos y puertos del Reino Unido, incluido Dover, se verán afectadas. Es probable que también se vean afectados los controles fronterizos del Reino Unido en Calais, Dunkerque y Coquelles, en el norte de Francia.
Los días 1 y 3 de febrero los maquinistas miembros del sindicato ASLEF estarán en huelga. Travellers entering the UK on 1 February could face long queues as Border Force workers go on strike.
The industrial action will start on 1 February and last until 7 am on 2 February.
Anyone who can use eGates is also being advised to do so.( ePassport gates are automated self-service barriers (an automated border control system) operated by the UK Border Force and located at immigration checkpoints in arrival halls in some airports across the UK and at the juxtaposed controls in international railway terminals abroad, offering an alternative to using desks staffed by immigration officers).
If you are travelling into the UK via any entry point, you should prepare for disruption and check before you travel.
While the initial Border Force strikes primarily targeted UK airports, those on 1 February will also include ports. International arrivals at all UK airports and ports including Dover will be impacted. UK border controls at Calais, Dunkirk and Coquelles in northern France are likely to be affected too.
On 1 and 3 February train driver members of the ASLEF union will be on strike. This means there will be NO Gatwick Express, Southern, Thameslink or Great Northern services running on these days. Services on Thursday 2 and Saturday 4 February will start later than normal with no trains before 7am, but this will be later on some routes.
